Here’s another antique brought over from Afghanistan: an 1881 Enfield Martini-Henry Cavalry Carbine IC1. It was also made in Birmingham and used by the British in the Afghan wars. It’s been very well preserved, but while it probably *could* fire, I don’t think it would hold up well. There are many examples of these that people still use occasionally.
